Murray Hotel is the only lodging on Main and Park streets—steps from Gil's Goods, the Murray Bar, 2nd Street Bistro, Dan Bailey's, and a short walk to the 1902 depot. Expect weekend street energy and tighter parking than an I-90 exit hotel.
Hotels east of downtown suit late arrivals from Billings or Bozeman, value-focused road trips, and quick morning exits toward the interstate. You trade the after-dinner walk for a simpler pull-off and usually lower nightly rates.
Chico Hot Springs and valley cabins put the Absarokas and Yellowstone River outside the window. Gardiner rooms place Mammoth and Lamar closer but cost a Livingston evening on Main Street—choose them when sunrise at the north entrance matters more than Neptune's or the Murray Bar.
